Physical Education is a very important discipline for the children's general development, especially if it is learned since an early age. It allows the child to develop motor, cognitive and affective skills, which are essential for his/her daily lifestyle and as a process throughout his /her lifetime. Physical Education helps the child to express his/her spontaneity, it furthers creativity and above all it allows the child to know and value him/herself as well as others. For these reasons, the variety and experience of different activities throughout game, recreation and sports are essential and should be implemented on a daily basis. Saint George’s School’s Physical Education Department has developed an educational programme that includes different disciplines such as Hockey, Football, Rugby, Athletics, etc. Students participate in different tournaments to strengthen bonds with other children throughout the practice of sports, to further social interaction and the importance of effort and participation above competition. On Saturdays we organize different sports activities with other schools and institutions. In order to know more about these activities, please “click” on the button “SPORTS” at the top of the screen.
