Our purpose is to create the necessary conditions for our students to become secure, independent, generous and immersed in their society.

We want to promote an excellent academic level, with children that think and that can arrive to their own conclusions while developing their individual potential. The student also needs and looks for limits while growing up and these must be set within an affectionate and loving atmosphere.

1) Attendance and Punctuality

Being absent or late for class works against the progress of the class. We request maximum cooperation to ensure that the children arrive on time and attend school regularly. A medical certificate is required if a child is absent for more than three days due to illness. Any other absence requires an explanatory note from the parents.

2) Health

In accordance with the Law, every child must bring a medical certificate at the beginning of the school year declaring a good state of health and fitness to practise sports, together with valid vaccination certificates (tetanus, diphtheria).

Students will only be allowed to remain indoors or not to practise physical education under doctor or parents´ orders for reasons of health. Break time outdoors is necessary for children to recoup energy and it also contributes to their social integration.

The practice of physical education is a compulsory activity in a child´s education.

3) Uniform

The use of school uniform must be strictly respected. All clothing must be marked with the child´s name.

Jewellery is not allowed other than very small earrings and headbands can only be red or green.

4) Safety

For safety reasons, children will only be allowed to leave school with their parents or whoever has been previously authorized by them. Any changes must be informed in the message book stating the full name and ID number of the person picking the children up. In order for children to leave with a classmate they must have been previously authorized by their parents in the message book, otherwise the child will go home as usual.

5) Entrance and Tuition Fees

The entrance fee will be paid on acceptance of vacancy and prior to entering the school.

Tuition fees are billed in advance in eleven consecutive quotas to be paid between the 1st and 10th day of each month from February to December. School fees not paid on time will be subject to penalty and accrue interests.

6) Promotion

Promotion to the next class at the beginning of the next year will depend on:

a) a satisfactory standard of academic performance in the current year;

b) a satisfactory standard of spoken and written English;

c) the developmental maturity according to age and the schools discipline standards;

d) a satisfactory attendance throughout the year.

7) The "message book"

The "message book" is the school´s means of communication with the parents. Children will bring it to school every day. Parents must read it every day and sign any message sent to them.

8) Outings and Visits

The school organizes monthly visits to a farm in the outskirts of Montevideo, outings to parks, public monuments, museums, concerts, exhibitions, theatre plays, and camping trips for the older ones (by the end of the year). These visits and outings are announced beforehand. Parents must give permission for their children to participate in them.
