Education on Coexistence PDF Print

At Saint Georgés School we approach the work in Coexistence and  Citizenship through weekly workshops which are held once a week in all the groups from Form III to Form VI. Our aim is to help students in the development of their social skills within the environment where they spend most of the hours of their days and therefore need to learn how to solve conflicts so as to preserve peace and harmony. We use materials both from the National Curriculum of Great Britain as from the Uruguayan Official Curriculum. The texts in the books serve as a starting point for group discussions where the students are able to make connections with their real lives.

On the other hand, our children receive our aid when facing a problem they feel they can’t solve on their own  in all aspects of school life, during recess, in the lunch room, in special classes, and so on.
