History & Geography in english PDF Print

In St. George´s School we follow the history and geography programmes of the National Curriculum of England complemented with educational material from the United States. We do this in the belief that if we learn a language it is also important to learn the history of the countries where this language was forged.

The study of the history of a place also needs the study of its geography: its climate, the richness of its land, and its political division. Since these are the results of different historical events, we encourage our students to keep in touch with the history of the world to understand how it is today.

The programmes are dynamic, awakening the curiosity of children while they work with documents, do their own research, and work in groups. This makes history and geography the favourite subjects of many.

"In history we made our timelines. We also have this year´s timeline in the class. On it we put important events. We also talk about important people.

I am who I am because of my history.

History is very important. I like history very, very much."
